Overview

Previous restaurant experience is preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important. All positions are paid, including internships, and provide a chance to develop valuable skills within the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated Serve food while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness Provide attentive guest service, addressing any queries or concerns professionally Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times Assist with food preparation or organisation in the kitchen as needed Manage multiple tables efficiently during busy periods using effective time management skills Clear tables promptly and maintain cleanliness of the dining area throughout service Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is desirable Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and proper serving techniques Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately Familiarity with food preparation and kitchen procedures is advantageous Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable manner Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours Good organisational skills to manage multiple tables simultaneously Upselling techniques to promote menu items effectively Time management skills to ensure timely service delivery
