Responsibilities

Welcome guests warmly and take their orders accurately and efficiently Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation standards are maintained Assist with food preparation and ensure compliance with food safety regulations Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and maximise sales opportunities Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including table settings and condiments Handle guest enquiries professionally, resolving any issues promptly and courteously Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow Manage multiple tables effectively while prioritising guest needs Process payments accurately using the POS system and provide correct change

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour Strong organisational skills with effective time management abilities Ability to perform basic maths accurately for billing purposes Familiarity with kitchen operations or culinary experience is advantageous Effective communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to enhance guest experience and revenue Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 12.25 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week
