EXCITING OPPORTUNITY for a motivated individual to join L'Affamato Restaurant and grow their career alongside our business.

This is a full time position working all evenings from Tuesday until Saturday + some lunchtimes, based in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey

L'Affamato is a local independent Italian restaurant - We pride ourselves in providing great food and beverages to our customers, along with great customer service to deliver an excellent and unique dining experience.

We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, professional and attentive waiter/waitress to join us. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment where attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for hospitality are highly valued.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing a seamless dining experience by maintaining our highest standards and committing to go above and beyond.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests warmly with professionalism and courtesy Present menus, explain daily specials, and offer recommendations to enhance guest experience Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring timely delivery of orders to guests Serve food and drinks at a high standard, maintaining presentation quality Upsell menu items and beverages to maximise sales opportunities while respecting guest preferences Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to during service and food handling Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff when required Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout shifts Handle guest inquiries or complaints promptly and courteously to ensure satisfaction Collaborate effectively with team members and management to deliver a smooth service flow

Qualifications

Fluent in English Right to work in the UK Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service, preferably within fine dining or similar establishments Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper serving techniques (or willing to learn) Excellent guest service skills with a warm professional demeanour Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during busy periods Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately Culinary or restaurant experience that demonstrates familiarity with menu items and service protocols Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of presentation and service excellence
