Duties

Welcome guests warmly and take their orders accurately, ensuring prompt service. Serve food and beverages in accordance with health and safety standards, maintaining cleanliness and organisation at all times. Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and maximise sales opportunities. Assist in food preparation and presentation when required, supporting kitchen staff as needed. Handle guest enquiries courteously, providing information about menu options and specials. Manage multiple tables efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of orders while maintaining high standards of service. Maintain a clean and tidy dining area, adhering to food safety regulations. Process payments accurately using the point-of-sale system and thank guests for their patronage.

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous. Familiarity with serving procedures, guest services, and upselling strategies will be beneficial. Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities to handle busy service periods effectively. Ability to work well within a team, demonstrating professionalism and a positive attitude throughout shifts. Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions confidently.
