Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have a strong understanding of food and beverage offerings. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering high-quality service, taking orders accurately, and assisting with menu selections.

Duties

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service throughout their dining experience. Take food and beverage orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems. Provide detailed information about menu items, including specials, and assist guests with selections to enhance their dining experience. Upsell additional items to increase sales while ensuring guest satisfaction. Serve food and beverages promptly while adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting them for new guests. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as necessary. Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure a positive dining experience.

Skills

Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests. Experience with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred. Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation techniques is a plus. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment. Sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively. Familiarity with OpenTable reservation system is advantageous. Fine dining experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry. Previous restaurant experience or background in hospitality is highly desirable.
