We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for guest service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, engaging with guests, and ensuring a high standard of service throughout their visit. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred, along with a strong understanding of food safety and responsible alcohol service. Duties
Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and presentation standards
Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner, providing excellent customer service
Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of drinks
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and bar equipment
Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while respecting guest preferences
Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies
Restock bar supplies as needed, including garnishes, mixers, and other ingredients
Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the point-of-sale system efficiently
Assist in setting up the bar area before service and cleaning up after closing shifts
Requirements
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is advantageous
Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service procedures
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
Excellent time management skills to balance multiple tasks effectively
Experience in food preparation or kitchen environments is beneficial but not essential
Culinary or kitchen experience can be an asset for understanding beverage pairings and presentation techniques
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by the venue's operating hours
