Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Waitress/ Kitchen Assistant to join amazing team.

The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen team with food preparation and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about the food and eager to learn more about food safety and meal preparation in a cafe setting. Also good customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all areas are tidy and free from hazards. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is stored, prepared, and served safely. Support cook during meal preparation by providing assistance as needed. Help with the cleaning of kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes and work surfaces after use. Participate in inventory management by keeping track of stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages. Assist in the plating and presentation of dishes as directed by senior kitchen staff. Taking and delivering orders to customers

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is essential. Full training will be given. Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation. Front of house experience/waitressing. Flexibility to work various shifts and weekends. Additional hours may be available over busier periods.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
