Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Servers to join our dynamic hospitality team at an Indian restaurant based in Bexley. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and have a strong understanding of restaurant operations. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and present menus with professionalism Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and maximise sales opportunities Handle payments accurately using the POS system and provide correct change Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout shifts Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders Provide attentive guest services, addressing any questions or concerns promptly Follow food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times Assist in setting up the dining area before service and cleaning after closing

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or related roles is preferred but not essential; a friendly demeanour and eagerness to learn are key Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team Basic maths skills for handling payments accurately Experience with guest services, upselling, and maintaining a positive attitude under pressure is desirable Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends as required
