Responsibilities

Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued. Take accurate food and drink orders, providing recommendations and upselling when appropriate. Serve food and beverages efficiently while adhering to food safety and hygiene standards. Manage multiple tables simultaneously, demonstrating excellent time management skills. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders. Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring satisfaction at all times. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests. Assist with food preparation as needed, demonstrating basic culinary skills when required.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred. Strong understanding of food safety practices and procedures. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest services. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in upselling food and beverage items is advantageous. A background in kitchen or culinary roles is beneficial but not essential.
