Duties

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner. Take accurate food and drink orders, ensuring all requests are communicated clearly to the kitchen staff. Serve food and beverages promptly, maintaining high standards of presentation. Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations during food preparation and serving. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and condiments. Assist with basic kitchen tasks as needed, including food preparation and cleaning. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods. Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and courteously.

Qualifications

Previous restaurant experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of hospitality principles. Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is advantageous. Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing bills accurately. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members. A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic setting. Experience in upselling products or services is beneficial but not essential.
