Responsibilities

Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued. Take accurate food and drink orders, relaying them efficiently to the kitchen staff. Provide recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience. Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to during preparation and serving. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables and service stations. Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation. Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving for complete satisfaction. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth service flow. Manage time effectively during busy periods to maintain service efficiency.

Qualifications

Previous restaurant experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of hospitality principles. Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices is essential. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Experience in serving or culinary roles is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members alike. A proactive approach to upselling menu items, enhancing the overall guest experience. A team player who thrives in collaborative settings while also being able to work independently when required.
