Duties

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm. Take accurate food and beverage orders. Serve food and make drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. Handle payments accurately, including cash and card transactions, following proper procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas, including tables, side stations, and dining spaces. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth service flow. Follow food safety regulations diligently, including proper handling of food and beverages. Assist in setting up the dining area before service and clearing after closing hours.

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and food preparation practices. Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor. Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently. Basic maths skills for handling bills and payments accurately. Knowledge of kitchen operations or culinary experience is advantageous but not essential. Effective time management to ensure prompt service during busy periods. Familiarity with serving techniques and restaurant etiquette.
