We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. To support our adult residents who have a mental health and or a Learning disability . In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals in need of care, ensuring their comfort and well-being a residential care home . Your support will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents that need assistance and support with activity's and general well-being.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with support needs
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients' health conditions.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate personnel.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals in case management to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
Skills
Previous experience in a residential home or mental health environment setting is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for providing high-quality care are essential qualities for this role.
Understanding of COSHH to carry out cleaning of communal areas when residents are settled for the night.
