Duties

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and physical activities as required. Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary. Maintain accurate records of care provided and assist in the development of care plans. Engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other staff members to ensure continuity of care. Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and safe environment for all residents. Drive residents to appointments or social outings as needed.

Skills

Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, for effective communication with residents and team members. Strong IT skills for maintaining records and using care management software. Excellent communication skills to build rapport with residents and their families. Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential. Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual needs. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents when required.
