Job Description

We are currently seeking two part time nighttime support workers to join a brand-new team for Jake. Due to sustaining a hypoxic brain injury at the time of his birth, Jake presents with the conditions of cerebral palsy and epilepsy

The support workers will work independently with Jake for up a minimum of 22 hours and a maximum of 33 hours per week (2 to 3 nights per week).

Shifts are from 21.00 until 08.00 Monday to Friday

Jake has a wonderful new downstairs bedroom and wet room; hence, his night care will take place away from the bedrooms of his family members. Jake can be wakeful at night; hence applicants need to be aware of the need to be active for the night shifts duration.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Job:

Assisting Jake to achieve a restful night's sleep. Jake will require full supervision for the duration of the night Administering oral medication to Jake and managing medication stock levels Providing personal care for Jake ensuring he always remains comfortable Providing safe moving and handling Assisting Jake to meet his hygiene needs and get dressed Undertaking Child Specific and Mandatory Training Maintain accurate and timely records Working in a family home environment
