About The Role





As a key member of the New Product Development (NPD) team, this Administrator position supports the Brand Project Manager and the wider department in progressing new products within the Walker's brand, and to revise/update existing Walker's products.



This role is ideal for a current Administrator/Assistant looking for a new challenge or for a candidate, with previous relevant office experience, looking at taking their first steps into a NPD based role.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES




Manage the artwork process for new and existing products; + check new/updated artwork for comments/amendments to ensure artwork is up to date with legal/mandatory information and aligns with Brand Guidelines
+ collect artwork comments/amendments from colleagues
+ list appropriate comments for sending to designers/printers (if required)
+ approve artwork files and proofs from printers/designers
+ work with internal and external systems throughout the process
Ensure all project documentation is up to date on file and in keeping with audit requirements Provide information internally and externally by answering questions and requests Prepare various packaging samples (mock-ups, existing products) for internal and external customers Update NPD progress sheets on a weekly basis using information from daily Campaign Rooms and project updates from Project Manager Liaise and communicate with external design agencies and printers to ensure project outcomes are on track Liaise with designers and printers to ensure they have all necessary information for new and existing artwork development Work with external companies to approve all translations necessary for artwork Liaise and communicate with other internal departments - Technical, QA, Procurement, Marketing, Sales, Production - throughout the NPD Process on tasks relevant to them

SKILLS AND ABILITIES


Ability to be a focused and proactive professional Active team member with proven interpersonal and organisational skills Proven developed written and verbal communication skills Ability and proven experience of delivering attention to detail Working experience and ability to utilise relevant software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat Demonstratable outcomes related to the Walker's Shortbread Ltd Values: Quality, Integrity, Pride, Responsibility, Determination
