Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tile Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing various types of tiles, including ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone. This role requires a strong understanding of design layouts and the ability to work with precision to ensure high-quality finishes. The Tile Setter will collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently and to the highest standards.

Duties

Measure and cut tiles to fit designated areas according to specifications. Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, leveling, and applying adhesives. Lay out tile patterns based on schematics and design plans. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and installing tiles. Ensure proper alignment and spacing of tiles during installation. Apply grout and sealants as necessary for a finished look. Perform repairs on existing tile installations as required. Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout the project duration.

Experience

Proven experience as a Tile Setter or in a similar role within the construction industry. Familiarity with carpentry skills is advantageous. Proficient in using hand tools and power tools related to tile installation. Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately. Previous experience in painting or finishing work is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
