We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tile Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tile installation and be proficient in using various tools and techniques to ensure high-quality finishes. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for transforming spaces by installing tiles in residential and commercial settings, ensuring that all work meets industry standards and client expectations.
Duties
Measure and cut tiles to fit designated areas, ensuring precise alignment and spacing.
Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, levelling, and applying adhesives as needed.
Install tiles on floors, walls, and ceilings according to design specifications and schematics.
Use both hand tools and power tools effectively to achieve desired results.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and painters, to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and regulations.
Inspect completed work for quality assurance, making adjustments as necessary to meet standards.
Skills
Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to tile setting.
Strong ability to read and interpret schematics for accurate tile layout.
Experience in building or carpentry is advantageous but not essential.
Attention to detail with a keen eye for aesthetics in tile installation.
Excellent problem-solving skills to address challenges that may arise during installation.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
