Surface Print is a family run contract print wallpaper manufacturing business that has been making luxury wallpaper since 1990 based in the heart of Lancashire. We pride ourselves on professionalism and attention to detail.
Our customers include individual designers, high end interior companies and couture fashion houses, high street stores, department stores and start-up businesses all over the world.
Easily accessible from the motorway network, we are looking for someone to join our production team in a fast paced factory environment with potential career progression.
We are looking for a semi-skilled machine assistant to join our team as a Wallpaper Air Knife Grounding Back Tenter.
The Air Knife Grounding Back Tenter will work closely with the Grounding machine print operator and assist in the daily operations of the production. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a factory environment and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities
Work with and assist the Front/Grounding Operative on the Grounding Machine. Ensure qualities of substrate/reels are acceptable. Prepare reels to load onto the grounding machine. Ensure the machine is kept clean and tidy at all times. Ensure all Quality Control Protocols are adhered to during the production schedule and that the product is manufactured to the highest specification attainable. To assist in any other duties required by immediate supervisor or management.
The ideal Candidate will have:
Production knowledge and experience within a print environment. Take pride in their work and have attention to detail. Be confident working alone and as part of a team. Demonstrate excellent communication skills. Be able to take full responsibility for your own workload.
This job is full-time.
Day shift
- 4-day week - Monday - Thursday 7.00am to 16.00pm - 36 hrs 30 minutes paid lunch Uniform provided. 20 days holiday + 8 Bank holidays Close to Junction 7 - M65Training will be given to the right candidate.
Imminent starting date

Pay: From 22,857.12 per year
