As part of the Marketing team, oversees production of the Research Journal, films, podcasts and digital content, managing end-to-end workflows, ensuring smooth execution, and maintaining high production standards. Supports AI initiatives, helping the team stay current and use tools effectively. Manages vendor relationships and supports website and digital projects.
Key Responsibilities
Film production lead
Lead end-to-end film production including On the Road films, Digging Deeper, culture content, events and ad-hoc projects
Manage all aspects from logistics and scripting to filming, post-production sign-off and publishing, while staying on top of industry trends to drive innovation and ensure content remains fresh and engaging
Collaborate with agencies on editing and liaise with featured individuals to ensure smooth coordination and internal stakeholder satisfaction
Project management for the Research Journal
Develop and maintain detailed production worksheets and schedules for each issue
Coordinate and provide direction for editorial, design, illustration, and print teams to ensure timely delivery
Manage project budgets, vendor contracts, invoicing and signoffs
Lead regular production meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders
Podcast production
Serve as producer during podcast recordings
Oversee post-production, manage approvals, and coordinate publication and distribution
Vendor relationship management
Manage key vendor relationships and ensure alignment with vendor management processes
Monitor vendor performance, ensuring delivery within budget and to agreed standards
Digital & team support
Provide support across the Walter Scott Marketing & Communications team, particularly in digital initiatives and factsheets production
Key supporting role in managing the website, with a strong understanding of backend and CMS processes
AI enablement
Act as team lead on AI initiatives and innovation; stay current on AI trends and tools; attend relevant training; represent team in firm-wide AI discussions and cross-departmental strategy coordination
Develop and document AI processes and best practices; support team with AI-related queries and tool usage
Technical Skills & Knowledge
Degree educated or equivalent
Working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Working knowledge of Outlook
Design programs (Adobe Suite, especially Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator), CMS experience
Understanding of Google Analytics and social media
Understanding of AI, with the ability to apply and promote its use
