Are you an ambitious and experienced Registered Nurse (RMN or RGN) ready to take on a pivotal leadership role? We are seeking a dedicated Ward Manager to provide clinical and operational leadership for our Acute Ward in Essex.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a proven leader to take full responsibility for a dynamic clinical environment. You will be instrumental in driving standards, developing your team, and ensuring the delivery of outstanding, patient-centred care.

### Key Responsibilities:

Provide strong, visible leadership and professional management to the entire ward team, including Staff Nurses, Deputy Ward Managers, and Healthcaresupport workers.
Hold full clinical and operational responsibility for the acute ward, ensuring the highest standards of clinicalcare and safety.
Manage the ward budget, resources, and have full authorised oversight of the nursing rota, ensuring effective e-rosteringand safe staffing levels.
Lead the development and implementation of new services and evidence-based care pathwaysto enhance patient outcomes.
Ensure all nursing staff receive regular clinical supervision, structured appraisals, and complete all CPD and mandatory trainingrequirements.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement, audit, and compliance with all regulatory standards (e.g., CQC, NMC*).

Act as a senior clinical expert, supporting with complex cases and ensuring best practice in all activities, including medication rounds*.

### Essential Requirements:

Valid NMC Pin as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered General Nurse (RGN)with acute experience.
A minimum of three years' experience in a senior role such as Deputy Ward Manager, Clinical Lead, or Ward Sisterwithin an acute setting.
Proven leadership and line management experience, with a track record of motivating and developing a nursingteam.
Strong operational skills, including experience with rota management, e-rostering*, and managing a budget.

Comprehensive knowledge of clinical governance, audit, and quality assurance processes.
Excellent clinical knowledge, including the safe management of medication roundsand complex care needs.
A commitment to supporting the CPDand growth of all team members.
### Desirable Skills:

Formal management or leadership qualification.
Experience in leading change and developing new care pathways or services*.

A proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced acute environment.
