The Respiratory Ward is currently located at Ward 3 at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital. The ward has 28 beds and is a combination of Acute stroke and step down beds.
The ward serves the Respiratory needs of the population of the health board, working closely with our community resources to ensure there is ongoing support as patients and families to move through their journey.
As a Ward Manager , you will have significant stroke experience as well as a proven record for leading and managing a team through change.

As the Ward Manager you will be responsible for managing the ward, promoting a positive patient and staff experience and leading on the delivery of excellent nursing care. This role requires close working relationships with a wide range of people including the Multi-Disciplinary Team, Consultants, Heads of Nursing, Senior Nurses and other Ward Managers.
Alongside the clinical continuous professional development, the successful candidate can expect to develop both their leadership and managerial skillset. Overseeing a vibrant team and supporting their practice through a strong clinical presence. Striving to achieve both local and National objectives.

Continuous responsibility for the twenty-four hour management of nursing on the Medical ward.
Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for all patients within designated areas.
Accountable for the quality of care delivered within clinical area by nursing
Work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to develop services provided for patients within clinical area.
