Job Description

This post includes participation in the Ward Manager rota, which provides support for the site management, along with working within your ward environment. Therefore you will be required to work a flexible rota system which includes a combination of day and occasionally night shifts, and will include some weekends and bank holidays. You will need to be a First Level Registered Nurse in Mental Health or Learning Disabilities and evidence of working in a leadership post is essential. You should have a proven track record of managing, leading and influencing others, and be able to evidence active involvement in developing and delivering service improvements.



Experience in a secure mental health service is desirable but not essential; however you need to be able to demonstrate an understanding of the specific profile and needs of our patient population. You will work in close partnership with the Hospital Leadership team in the positive development of all aspects of nursing services, and the full implementation of Policies and Procedures. You will be supported in your professional and personal development through the Trust Appraisal system and be provided with clinical and managerial support to fulfil your role effectively.
