Job Summary



As a Warehouse Administrator, you will provide a high-quality administrative service to both internal and external customers, supporting the smooth and accurate operation of the warehouse. You will play a key role in maintaining stock integrity, producing accurate reports, and ensuring information is communicated clearly to support warehouse teams in meeting agreed service levels.

This role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

:

Planning, Analysis & Administration



Understand order and customer priorities to support efficient warehouse operations. Maintain accurate stock records, including:
o Receiving goods into the system

o Investigating and processing stock discrepancies

o Supporting inventory counting activities

Assist with planning warehouse layout to support efficient picking and stock flow. Process customer and warehouse returns accurately and efficiently. Prepare and distribute operational and stock reports. Create and manage works orders as required. Support export processes, including knowledge of export procedures and documentation. Ensure warehouse teams have accurate, timely information to support daily operations. Liaise with couriers and hauliers to support collections and deliveries. Support Team Leaders and Trainers with operational administration, including:
o Resolving system errors (e.g. dump totes, picking errors, totes in incorrect zones)

o Signing in and out HHTs, barcode printers and tape guns

Ensure all administration and data capture is completed accurately and on time.

Systems & IT



Develop and maintain an excellent working knowledge of the Warehouse Management System (WMS). Actively participate in on-the-job system training and support colleagues by sharing knowledge where required.

Standards, Communication & Compliance



Work closely with Team Leaders to maintain high standards across Health & Safety, housekeeping, and company and legislative policies. Maintain effective communication throughout the shift to support operational continuity. Support Team Leaders with the preparation of shift handovers, ensuring all relevant information is detailed and provided on time. Act impartially at all times, ensuring colleagues are treated fairly, equally and with respect. Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures, including stop and search requirements.

Experience & Qualifications



GCSE or equivalent (preferred). Previous administrative experience (minimum 1 year required). Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is advantageous. Driving licence preferred. Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. Confident using systems and working with data.
