Warehouse Allocator

Stanford-le-Hope, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

WORKING PATTERN: 22:00 - 06:00, Sunday - Thursday.

About the Role

We are seeking an organised, detail-oriented, and proactive

Warehouse Allocator

to join our warehouse operations team. This key role ensures the smooth and accurate flow of goods through the warehouse, managing inbound and outbound activities, maintaining real-time system accuracy, and supporting the site's operational excellence.

You will act as the vital link between warehouse operations, stock control, customer service, and administration teams - ensuring customer expectations are met, processes are followed, and site accreditations are upheld.

This is a primarily office-based role requiring excellent communication, IT proficiency, and a deep understanding of warehouse management systems.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Coordination

Manage the accurate allocation, receipt, and dispatch of goods through the WMS and customer systems (SAP). Schedule and coordinate all inbound and outbound deliveries, ensuring correct bay allocation in real time. Liaise with drivers, warehouse teams, and stock control to ensure correct load allocation and documentation. Maintain real-time system updates to ensure full visibility of stock movements and product locations. Ensure all goods received and dispatched are recorded accurately, with full checks on quantity and quality.

Administration & Compliance

Complete and maintain system records, documentation, and trackers (including Pallet Tracker, ATP reports, shortage logs, and ZLOC moves). Handle product returns, non-conformances, and shortages professionally and promptly, escalating when necessary. Produce safe and legal documentation for the next 24-hour period (night shift responsibility). Maintain compliance with site accreditations (ISO9001, BRC) and company standards. Support site audits and promote Health, Safety, and Quality best practices.

Communication & Teamwork

Serve as the key communication link between Warehouse Leads, Stock, Customer Service, and Admin teams. Ensure all operational updates, shortages, and system issues are clearly communicated during shift handovers. Collaborate effectively with colleagues across all shifts to maintain consistency and service quality. Liaise professionally with visitors, drivers, and customers, representing the company to the highest standard.
