Purpose of the Role:




To contribute to the efficient and safe running of warehouse operations through the receipt, movement, storage, and despatch of goods. The Warehouse and FLT Operative will support both inbound and outbound processes, operate forklift trucks (FLT), and maintain high standards of cleanliness, stock accuracy, and compliance with health & safety and food safety regulations.


Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:



Health & Safety & Food Safety Compliance: -



Ensure compliance with all UK health & safety regulations, ensuring all team members wear the correct PPE and follow safe working practices. Ensure the site is audit-ready at all times and maintain an audit-ready culture. Promote and uphold a clean and organised workspace, following "clean as you go" policies and general manufacturing best practices (GMP). Ensure the correct and effective use of machinery, reporting any damage or malfunctions to the Engineering team immediately. Enforce compliance with food safety, food hygiene standards, and customer specifications, ensuring all colleagues follow protocols. Ensure work areas meet hygiene and allergen control requirements. Monitor and ensure that all warehouse machinery and equipment (MHE) is used correctly and only by trained colleagues. Ensure all vehicles are loaded and unloaded safely and on time, maintaining efficiency and minimising delays.

Goods In & Out



Safely load and unload vehicles in line with company standards and timelines. Ensure incoming goods are stored correctly, with temperature-controlled products maintained to specification. Accurate and effective use of the KBS system when booking good in/out Accurately pick and label orders in preparation for despatch. Deliver raw materials to the production team in a timely and organised manner. Maintain accurate stock records and ensure stock levels support customer demand andproduction schedules.

FLT Operation



Operate FLT equipment (Reach and Counterbalance) safely, in accordance with training and site procedures. Conduct daily FLT checks and report any faults or issues immediately. Support warehouse movements and putaway activity as needed.

Teamwork & Flexibility



Attend training and team briefings to stay updated on operational changes. Work cross-functionally across the operation to support shifting business needs. Carry out other reasonable duties as required to meet business needs.


Key Skills & Competencies



Valid Reach and/or Counterbalance FLT licence (RTITB / ITSAR certified). Strong English communication and basic numeracy skills. Previous experience in FMCG or warehouse environments. Excellent organisational and time management skills. A team player with a customer-focused approach. Willingness to be flexible and support wider operational requirements.
