Job Title

Warehouse Operative - Alfreton, DE55

Responsible to

Warehouse Manager

Purpose of Role



To service the receipt, storage, dispatch, and installation of goods in a safe and efficient manner.

To contribute to achievement of OTIF target by carrying out the role to required standards within the team.

You will handle goods and products that come into the warehouse and leave the warehouse for our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities



To have knowledge of the company, its aims, objectives, and its strategic direction. To liaise with customers, suppliers, transport companies and colleagues. To receive and book in goods on our company ERP system, including checking for discrepancies and damages. Goods to be booked in and put away correctly within 24 hours of receipt. The above includes timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods on behalf of dealers e.g. IQ Workspace. This includes some use of a dealer's software and systems where agreed. To pick and pack orders for despatch. To drive company vehicles when required and delivery of goods to various customer and dealer sites. Some overnight stays, early starts, late finishes and travelling to work on site (either customer or Arrow sites) are to be expected. To provide relevant checks on colleague's orders that have been picked and packed for despatch. To maintain records on the warehouse ERP system. To assist on occasion with the building of our own products such as chairs and dividers. The loading and unloading of HGVs, containers, and vans by hand and or using a forklift truck. To help keep the warehouse and yard in good order, including clear aisles at all times. To help with the accuracy of the stock records/locations by correct following of systems and processes, and regular stock checking. To help plan and organise delivery schedules and methods so they are achieved in a safe and efficient manner. To adhere to H&S standards within the warehouse, yard, and production areas, including the wearing of appropriate PPE. To assist with the planning of maintenance of HGVs, forklifts and vans, machinery, and equipment. The above is not an exhaustive list

The ability to work as part of a team or individually. An enthusiastic and flexible approach to work. IT literacy. The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

Qualifications:

Essential



Full Manual UK Driving License

Preferable



Forklift ticket (counterbalance or Bendi)

HGV class 2 or C license and associated CPC.

Experience:

Essential



Experience in working in a warehouse environment

Experience of using a warehousing software and IT such as emails, Microsoft Office.

Preferable



Experience with leading or supervising a team.

Hours



Monday - Thursday 7am - 5pm with 1 hour lunch break

Fridays 7am - 4pm with 1 hour lunch break
