Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and proactive
Warehouse and Workshop Assistant
to support day-to-day operations across our warehouse and workshop areas. This hands-on role involves a variety of responsibilities, including picking and packing customer orders, dispatching goods, receiving deliveries, and carrying out workshop tasks such as pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) on small outboard engines, repairing small inflatable boats, and fitting parts to boats.
The ideal candidate will be confident using computers, comfortable with a variety of manual and mechanical tasks, and willing to travel occasionally for event setups. This role also offers

by meeting or exceeding agreed targets in key areas such as accuracy, productivity, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Duties
Accurately pick and pack customer orders for dispatch.
Label, package, and dispatch orders in a timely and efficient manner.
Receive and check incoming goods against delivery notes.
Organise and store stock appropriately in designated locations.
Maintain a clean and organised warehouse space.
Assist with regular stock counts and inventory control.
Use computer systems for inventory management, order processing, and dispatch tasks.
Workshop Duties
Perform PDIs on small outboard engines to ensure operational readiness and quality.
Repair small inflatable boats, including patching and valve/fitting replacement.
Fit marine parts and accessories to boats as required.
Conduct minor assembly or modification tasks under supervision.
Assist technicians and workshop staff with various duties and projects.
Maintain a safe, tidy, and efficient workshop environment.
Additional Duties
Travel to off-site locations when required to assist with setting up and taking down displays or equipment for trade shows, events, or customer demonstrations.
Carry out occasional ad hoc tasks and errands as required.
Follow all health and safety procedures consistently.
Report any issues with goods, tools, or equipment promptly to the supervisor.
Key Skills and Attributes:
Confident using computers and basic software for inventory, orders, and communication.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good manual handling skills and physical fitness.
Practical mindset with a willingness to learn technical tasks.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic mechanical understanding or previous experience with small engines or boats (desirable).
Experience repairing inflatable boats (preferred, or willingness to learn).
Willingness to travel and support off-site event setups.
Forklift licence or experience (preferred but not essential).
Requirements:
Previous experience in a warehouse, workshop, or similar hands-on environment.
Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Full UK driving licence (preferred and may be required for event travel).
