Toolsaver are currently recruiting for an apprentice warehouse operative to join our motivated warehouse team.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving and Checking Deliveries:

Unloading and inspecting goods for any damage or missing items.

Stock Management:

Assisting with stock control, picking and packing orders, ensuring accurate inventory.

Warehouse Organization:

Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including shelves, racks, and storage areas.

Equipment and Machinery:

Learning to use and maintain various warehouse equipment and machinery, such as pallet trucks, forklifts and other tools.

Safety and Compliance:

Following all relevant safety regulations and procedures, ensuring the safety of themselves and others in the warehouse.

IT Systems:

Utilizing IT systems for stock management, order processing and other functions.

Communication and Teamwork:

Collaborating with other staff, supervisors, customers and external suppliers.

Skills and Qualifications:

Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency in using software like Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Good Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.

Organization and Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.

Attention to Detail: Accuracy in tasks like stock control and data entry is crucial.

Professional Demeanor: All applicants must be self-motivated, enthusiastic with a keen willingness to learn. Maintaining a positive and helpful attitude when interacting

Learning and Development:

Successful applicants will be put through a warehousing apprenticeship run by GTG and will gain a SCQF level 6 qualification. On completion of the warehouse apprenticeship the applicant will also be put through RTITB forklift training.

Terms of employment:

We currently operate business between 0800 and 17.30 Monday to Friday. You will work 40 hours per week between these times.

Holiday entitlement is 36 days per year including bank holidays.

Apprentice salary - 8 per hour 16,640 (rising to minimum wage once apprenticeship is completed)
