Warehouse Assistant / Delivery Driver

Full Time 8.30am - 5pm

Current Location - Oswestry, Shropshire.

Border Janitorial Supplies Ltd is an established B2B Company operating around the Powys, West Wales and Shropshire area. We provide a wide range of professional cleaning and hygiene products along with an outstanding support package to commercial and public organisations.

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join the team in a varied range of duties. The right candidate will be enthusiastic about customer service and committed to maintaining the quality of our brand. You will be part of a small team of competent and friendly people who enjoy a pleasant environment within a growing family-owned business.

The successful candidate will have an eye for detail to accurately read paperwork and pick items from a large range of stock products and variants, also to follow good standards of stock maintenance and delivery procedures.

The candidate will be required to assist in three main duties:

Warehouse duties

, Tasks include handling goods which will require use of a forklift and manual handling, general goods in/out duties.

Vehicle, building and grounds hygiene and maintenance.

Delivery duties

, Tasks include picking and delivering goods mainly in the Powys and Shropshire areas but further areas would be required, driving large panel vans (usually LWB Ford transit).

Note: Hours of work maybe extended on occasion to meet the needs of the business and the nature of a delivery job.

Note: Loading and un-loading vans has regular elements of manual labour involving weights up to 25kg.

We will provide all necessary training but the candidate will require the following: -

A clean driving license (Allowing for very minor points)

Have the communication skills to deal with customers and your colleagues in a pleasant manner

Maths and English school level qualification

We also require employees to have DBS checks for our customers

The following would be an advantage:

Forklift license - or previous experience

Manual handling training/certificate

First aid training/certificate

Standard Hours 8.30am - 5.00pm Mon - Fri

Annual Holidays 20 (22 after 2 years) plus 8 bank holidays. (pro-rata of days/hours worked)

Pay: 26,000.00 per year
