NAAFI is searching for a dynamic, proactive, and passionate Warehouse Operative/Driver who is highly organized, an excellent team player, and eager to join our expanding team in Whiteley.
Role and Responsibilities:
To be passionate about customer service, through providing an excellent level of service to our customers. Assist your outlet team to achieve its targets and to continuously deliver and maintain excellent standards through all aspects of our business. Protect and promote NAAFI and ensure our customers and colleagues have an enjoyable NAAFI experience. Use integrity and respect at all times and in all aspect of your daily duties.
Responsible for accepting deliveries, checking stock quantity/quality and dealing with discrepancies.
Responsible for organising appropriate storage of stock according to the warehouse policy and the principles of effective stock rotation, i.e. date coding.
Responsible for accurately picking/selecting stock and completing stock checks
Responsible for delivering goods in accordance with the delivery schedule ensuring that signatures are obtained for all deliveries
Checking the accuracy of all receipt and issue vouchers received from nominated suppliers
Ensuring that all paperwork is maintained accurately and in the correct sequence for monthly audits.
Reporting any discrepancies or anomalies to the Warehouse Supervisor
Responsible for the security of the store and its contents at all times while on duty and must never leave the store unattended whilst not secure.
Responsible for following safe manual handling techniques when moving stock.
Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly legal checks for machinery/vehicles and demonstrates due diligence.
Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene and safety of premises and fixtures - reporting any defects to manager.
Carry out other duties as reasonably requested for the needs of the business and delivery of service.
Requirements of the role of the Storeman/Driver:
At least 2 years of demonstratable Customer Service experience and the ability to communicate effectively with people
Inventory Management
Knowledge of MS Office- Word/ Excel
Ability to work using your own initiative and as part of a team
Valid UK Driving Licence (essential)
Flexibility to work evenings/ weekends when required
Forklift Licence (desirable)
LGV Licence (desirable)
