The Opportunity




Provide Best-in-Class customer service through ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse, efficiently and carefully handling customer goods and all deliveries entering and leaving the warehouse, including but not limited to inventory control, shipment processing, and upholding compliance with security and safety standards.

Full time, 8 hours per day - Monday to Friday / Tuesday to Saturday alternate weeks

Key Role Accountabilities



General Duties



Monitor the receipt, booking in and dispatch of all cargo / goods and record data in accordance with working procedures. Ensure all goods received are booked in within defined timelines and record data on appropriate systems as required. Ensure freight is screened in accordance with local requirements, handled correctly and is accurately identified as either Known Cargo or Unknown Cargo Load and off-load vehicles in a timely manner, ensuring all freight is accounted for and undamaged. Comply with Company procedures to report any concerns relating to freight. Assist with labelling and palletizing. Respond to operational team and / or customer queries as required. Ensure security obligations are met according to DfT / CAA regulations and compliance. This includes checking delivery driver IDs when receiving any freight and completing the goods in check sheet, making sure that all warehouse doors are always locked and monitored, ready to challenge any unidentified persons in the warehouse immediately. Keep warehouse tidy and organized. Liaise with the Inventory Manager and / or Operations team to identify any changes in work instructions and / or processes where appropriate, thereby providing a reliant handling of cargo / goods. Undertake duties in accordance with defined processes and work instructions. Support the Inventory Manager with regular inventory audits. Provide inventory shipments to customers upon request and manage dispatch processes, including proof of delivery (POD) entries. Be polite and provide a professional and responsive service to customers, industry partners and team members. Communicate any delays, changes, or issues promptly to the Operations team and customers as required. Occasionally drive shipments to and from LHR.

Compliance / Health & Safety



Adhere to the Company health and safety policy, and other requirements relating to care of equipment and warehouse. Ensure your Company identity card is visible at all times. Carry out equipment checks to maintain cleanliness and worthiness at all times. Where driving duties are required, conduct relevant vehicle checks, safe keeping of fuel cards and ensure the vehicle is returned to the depot ready for the next day. Respect and adhere to the standards as set out in the employee handbook and the HR Policy Manual relating to the job, attendance, time keeping and behaviour. Make sure you understand and adhere to Company policies, current and new, and relevant Airport requirements.

Your Experience



Previous warehouse experience with a strong customer focus. Proven communication skills (verbal and written). Attention to detail and the ability to follow processes accurately. Previous experience dealing with varied customer base and building strong relationships. Self-motivated with the ability to use your own initiative. Comfortable using computer systems, including inventory management systems . Forklift training is desirable (training can be provided). Dangerous Goods training would be advantageous. Knowledge and experience to lift and handle freight in accordance with workplace safety guidelines. Full clean driving licence. Ability to pass a 5-year checkable work/background history and possess a clean criminal record.
