Role Summary:

We are recruiting a

Warehouse & Logistics Manager

to lead the day-to-day operations of our growing fresh produce and FMCG wholesale business. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, customer-driven environment. You'll be responsible for overseeing stock movement, managing deliveries, coordinating drivers, and ensuring the warehouse operates smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in managing warehouse operations and logistics in a food or wholesale distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities:Warehouse Operations

Supervise daily receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch of goods. Maintain accurate inventory records and implement stock control procedures. Ensure product handling complies with health, safety, and food hygiene standards. Oversee cleanliness, organisation, and security of the warehouse facility.

Logistics & Delivery Coordination

Plan and manage delivery schedules and routes to maximise efficiency. Oversee and support a team of drivers to ensure timely and professional delivery. Monitor fleet maintenance, fuel usage, and route optimisation.

People & Process

Lead and train warehouse staff to ensure productivity and morale. Manage shift rotas and staffing requirements based on operational needs. Implement best practices in goods handling, loading, and delivery procedures.

Candidate Profile:

Proven experience (3+ years) in warehouse/logistics management, ideally in the

fresh produce, FMCG, or food wholesale

sector. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a small warehouse team. Forklift licence preferred (but not essential). Solid understanding of health & safety regulations, food handling, and cold chain logistics. Comfortable using warehouse or logistics software systems.
