We are looking for a proactive and experienced
Warehouse Manager
to lead operations at our London branch.
Role Overview
The Warehouse Manager will oversee three key departments--
Shipping, Production, and Receiving
--and ensure smooth daily operations. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a proven ability to optimize warehouse workflows while managing and motivating a team.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping Department
Assign and monitor daily orders for pickers and packers.
Set up, manage, and optimize picking and packing lanes.
Ensure all shipments are packed accurately, labeled correctly, and dispatched on time.
Resolve shipping issues quickly, liaising directly with courier partners (
Royal Mail, DPD, DHL
).
Oversee the use of shipping tools such as
ShipStation, SendCloud
, and other platforms.
Maintain compliance with shipping regulations and ensure cost efficiency.
Production Department
Assign duties and shifts to production staff.
Create, manage, and adjust production schedules to meet business needs.
Oversee quality control at every stage of production.
Ensure staff follow
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
for product formulations.
Monitor and report on production efficiency, waste reduction, and output targets.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product development, supply chain) to align production goals.
Receiving & Inventory Management
Oversee all incoming shipments and maintain accurate
receiving logs
.
Inspect deliveries for accuracy and quality; resolve discrepancies with suppliers.
Update and reconcile
physical inventory counts
.
Manage stock rotation, storage, and warehouse organization.
Assign duties to staff for unloading, sorting, and stocking materials.
Ensure proper use of
inventory management software
to track and report stock levels.
Requirements
3-5 years
of warehouse management experience (picking, packing, production, or fulfillment preferred).
Strong working knowledge of shipping and inventory systems.
Experience with shipping platforms (
ShipStation, SendCloud
) and courier account management.
Tech-savvy with excellent computer skills (MS Office, warehouse software, ERP systems).
Valid forklift license
with ability to safely operate warehouse forklifts.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work in
cross-functional teams
and adapt to changing priorities.
Physically able to lift up to
50 lbs (23 kg)
.
