We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to join our growing pharmaceutical distribution team. In this key role, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and excellence in all aspects of stock management.

Role and Responsibilities



Ensure a consistently high level of accuracy across all warehouse operations. Maintain the receipt, checking, and storage of goods in full compliance with GDP regulations. Maintain thorough knowledge of all warehouse SOPs and ensure operational procedures are consistently followed. Oversee receiving, storage, and distribution processes by implementing, coordinating, and enforcing operational policies and personnel procedures. Ensure customer service standards are met and maintained at all times. Operate safely, adhering to Health and Safety policies, and actively contribute to continuous improvements in warehouse safety. Safeguard warehouse operations and stock by establishing and monitoring security procedures. Oversee cleaning and maintenance activities to ensure the facility meets cleanroom and operational standards. Undertake all required warehouse training, maintaining audit-ready training and compliance records. Manage warehouse staffing, including scheduling, assigning tasks, recruiting, orienting, and training employees. Monitor and report on warehouse performance through weekly and monthly KPIs, providing actionable insights to the business. Carry out any other duties as required to support the effective operation of the warehouse.

Person Specification



Previous warehouse management experience - essential, ideally within pharmaceutical or regulated environments. Strong knowledge of Good Distribution Practice (GDP), SOPs, and compliance requirements. Proven experience in managing teams, including recruitment, training, and performance management. Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in stock management and record-keeping. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders. Proactive, solution-focused, and able to make informed decisions under pressure. Competent in using warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory tracking software, and reporting tools. Commitment to Health and Safety and ability to enforce compliance across the warehouse. Demonstrates leadership qualities, including motivating staff, driving operational improvements, and fostering a positive team culture. Flexible and adaptable to the needs of a dynamic, fast-paced pharmaceutical distribution environment.
