Job Description

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage the performance of night shift warehouse staff, including team leaders, operatives, and drivers. Oversee the receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure accurate inventory control and reporting. Monitor productivity and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct nightly shift handovers and report key issues or achievements to the day shift and senior management. Enforce compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies. Manage staffing levels, approve timesheets, and handle minor disciplinary matters on shift. Operate and ensure proper maintenance of equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks). Liaise with transport, customer service, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications

Proven experience in warehouse or logistics management, ideally in a night shift or similar role. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent understanding of warehouse procedures, inventory systems, and health & safety compliance. Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Competent in Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems (WMS).

Desirable:

FLT (Forklift Truck) license or similar certification. Leadership and team motivation. Problem-solving and decision-making. Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am to5:00pm
