Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, handling various tasks related to materials management, stocking, and shipping. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Utilise a warehouse management system (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing stock levels. Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse. Perform picking and packing of orders accurately and efficiently. Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading goods from lorries. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse space to promote safety and efficiency. Conduct regular stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy. Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.

Requirements

Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable. Proficiency in operating forklifts; certification is a plus. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) such as AS400 is advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge for basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, with a focus on safety practices. Experience in construction or materials handling is beneficial. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in stocking procedures. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively within a team environment.
