Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to materials handling, stocking, and shipping & receiving. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Manage inventory using a warehouse management system to ensure accurate stock levels. Handle materials with care during loading and unloading processes. Perform picking & packing of orders accurately for timely dispatch. Assist with shipping & receiving activities, ensuring all goods are accounted for. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse. Conduct heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Support stocking efforts by replenishing shelves and managing inventory flow. Utilise mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance of warehouse equipment. Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals. Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Experience

You will have a strong background in warehousing, hold a valid

Counterbalance Forklift License

, and possess an

NVQ in Supply Chain and Warehousing

. Familiarity with materials handling processes and techniques is advantageous. Experience with inventory management systems is a plus. Knowledge of construction practices can be beneficial in understanding materials handled. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) regularly throughout the shift. Hours of Work:

Potentially alternating one of 2 shifts (no night shifts) : Monday - Thursday (7:30am to 4:30pm) and Friday (7:30am to 1:30pm), or Monday - Thursday (11:30am to 8:30pm) and Friday (11:00am to 5pm)
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.51-12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
