Responsibilities

Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels. Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stocking and organisation within the warehouse. Perform picking and packing duties for outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in order fulfilment. Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading lorries. Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency. Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock accuracy. Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.

Experience

Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Familiarity with materials handling techniques and equipment is advantageous. Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise. Experience with AS400 or similar warehouse management systems is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, demonstrating physical fitness for the role. Background in construction or related fields may be beneficial but is not mandatory.
