Purpose

This role is responsible for general stock movement, production, fabrication, order picking, labelling, booking in and out of orders and materials whilst also generally ensuring that materials are gathered for dispatch in line with specific contract requirements in a timely and efficient manner.

The role requires a flexible approach in terms of day-to-day activity to allow for holiday and sickness cover thus ensuring minimal interruption in terms of day-to-day productivity.

Responsibilities

Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and procedures are adhered to.

Ensure tasks assigned are undertaken in line with expected time and quality levels.

Ensure a clean and tidy working environment.

Ensure all processes and paperwork are carried out in accordance with company procedure.

Ensure any potential issues are identified and communicated to the Warehouse manager.

Maintain good communication with all functional managers.

Support change and implementation of process improvement.

Support peak workloads through working reasonable overtime as required.

Support and attend meetings and training as required.

Undertake all other reasonably requested duties.

Skills

Good understanding of construction Health & Safety and a positive attitude to work.

Willingness to be flexible in terms of tasks undertaken.

Be able to maintain and build positive working relationships.

Be able to "self-manage" to monitor, improve and maintain performance

Experience

Experience within a similar environment.

Must have shown an ability to work under real-time pressure.

Forklift Licence Advantageous/but not essential as training can be given.

Driving Licence Advantageous.

Basic Computer skills Advantageous.

Qualifications

Ideally some practical / supporting qualifications or previous experience within a warehouse production environment.
