Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to the handling, storage, and distribution of goods. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring safe handling practices are followed. Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment for materials handling. Manage inventory using a warehouse management system, ensuring accurate stock levels are maintained. Pick and pack orders accurately for shipping, ensuring all items are correctly labelled and prepared for dispatch. Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse to promote a safe working environment. Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Support stocking activities by replenishing shelves and organising products efficiently. Utilise mechanical knowledge for minor repairs or maintenance of warehouse equipment as needed.

Skills

Proven experience in a warehouse environment is highly desirable. Proficiency in operating forklifts and familiarity with AS400 systems is advantageous. Strong materials handling skills with an emphasis on safety and efficiency. Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly, demonstrating physical stamina and strength. Knowledge of picking & packing processes, as well as shipping & receiving procedures. Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues. Experience in construction may be advantageous due to the physical demands of the role.
