Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to materials handling, stocking, and shipping and receiving. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Manage inventory using a warehouse management system, ensuring accurate stock levels. Manual Handling is involved. Handle materials with care during loading and unloading processes. Perform picking and packing of orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality. Assist in shipping and receiving activities, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation. Maintain a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency. Conduct regular stock checks and assist with restocking as necessary. Utilise mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance of equipment when required. Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred. Familiarity with materials handling techniques and safety protocols. Proficiency in using warehouse management systems; experience with AS400 is an advantage. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) as part of daily duties. Strong attention to detail for accurate order fulfilment. Experience in construction or mechanical roles is beneficial but not essential. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
