We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Operative to support our expanding e-commerce and logistics operations. This role is vital to ensuring the smooth, secure, and efficient handling of shipments within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and productivity. We're looking for someone proactive, dependable, and committed to working collaboratively to meet operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform x-ray screening of shipments to identify known cargo and ensure air transport safety
Accurately process and route shipments to their designated destinations
Safely and efficiently load and unload vehicles
Build Unit Load Devices (ULDs) and pallets for export in accordance with industry standards
Comply fully with Customs regulations and procedures as mandated by relevant authorities
Maintain a well-organised and efficient warehouse environment
Ensure strict adherence to the site's AVSEC Security Programme
Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock, verifying accuracy and condition
Unpack, sort, and store items in designated warehouse locations
Label packages correctly and coordinate appropriate screening and dispatch methods
Operate warehouse equipment safely to move goods within the facility
Conduct routine checks to uphold cleanliness and comply with health and safety standards
Collaborate effectively with team members to optimise workflow and meet operational targets
Support administrative tasks including data entry and documentation
Follow company policies and procedures to maintain a secure and compliant working environment
Physically capable of lifting items up to 25kg
Requirements:
Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred
Familiarity with air cargo procedures and regulatory compliance is advantageous
Experience in a similar role, ideally within a Regulated Agent facility
Prior involvement in e-commerce operations
Basic computer literacy and experience with inventory management systems
Physically capable of lifting heavy items and standing or walking for extended periods
Effective communication skills and a cooperative team-oriented mindset
Willingness to learn new tasks and adapt to changing priorities
Valid forklift certification
Clean driving licence
Availability to work a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern (12-hour shifts)
Flexibility to meet operational and scheduling demands
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Order Management Systems (OMS)
Understanding of e-commerce platforms and fulfilment processes
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Full UK driving licence
COS-level AVSEC training with a valid certificate
Knowledge of freight forwarding and import/export procedures
