Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our wonderful clients team. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations and possess a strong understanding of materials handling. This role involves various tasks that are essential for maintaining the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring that products are stored, picked, packed, and shipped accurately and efficiently.

Duties

Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently(if a licence is held). Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory levels and manage stock movements. Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stocking and storage practices are followed. Perform picking and packing duties to prepare orders for shipment. Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading lorries. Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency. Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy in stock levels. Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as they arise. Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.

Requirements

Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with materials handling techniques and safety protocols. Ability to operate forklifts; certification is a plus. Experience with warehouse management systems, particularly AS400, is advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance. Capability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role. Experience in construction or related fields may be beneficial. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Working hours are -

Monday to Friday - 8am to 5pm
