Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our clients dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by order picking, packing, managing inventory, assisting with shipping and receiving, and maintaining a clean and organised work environment. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock. Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse. Perform stocking duties to maintain inventory levels on shelves and in storage areas. Assist with picking and packing orders accurately for shipment. Manage shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring all incoming and outgoing goods are accounted for. Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring safe handling practices are followed. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse space to promote safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.

Requirements

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred. Familiarity with forklift operation is essential; certification is a plus. Knowledge of warehouse management systems, is advantageous. Strong materials handling skills with an emphasis on safety protocols. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, with a focus on proper techniques. Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues. Experience in construction-related tasks can be advantageous but is not mandatory.
