Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, contributing to the overall efficiency of our logistics and supply chain processes. This position involves various tasks, including stocking, picking and packing, as well as shipping and receiving goods.

Duties

Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Utilise warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and manage stock levels. Perform materials handling tasks, including loading and unloading goods from lorries. Maintain accurate records of stock movements and assist with inventory management. Engage in picking and packing orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation. Conduct regular inspections of warehouse equipment to ensure proper functioning. Participate in maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment. Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.

Requirements

Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance is beneficial. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role. Experience in construction or similar fields is a plus. Excellent attention to detail for accurate order fulfilment. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. A proactive attitude towards safety and adherence to health regulations within the warehouse environment.
