Job Description

Due to our ongoing success, A vacancy has arisen at our Winsford site for a General Operative.

Main duties include:

Using various computerised despatch systems. Use of our inventory management system (E1 & AS400) Dealing with customer collections. Use of machinery - guillotines, punch press, saws and drills. Internal and external delivery handling. Packing orders to ensure the goods arrive with the customer correctly packed and in good condition.

Your working hours will equate to a 40-hour week, worked according to the following schedule:

Week 1

08.00 - 16:30 (with 2 x 15-minute paid breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch break)

Week 2

09.00 - 17:30 (with 2 x 15-minute paid breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch break)


Overtime may be required on occasion according to the needs of the business

Skills required:

Excellent attention to detail. Able to follow detailed instructions, both written and verbal. Manual dexterity and the ability to carry out detailed tasks at a fast pace. Ability to maintain focus when carrying out repetitive tasks. Flexibility and the ability to work as part of a team within all areas of the Winsford operation both Wall Pro and GFUK. Some knowledge of Microsoft Office would be desirable but not essential Counterbalance FLT licence would be desirable but not essential. Previous experience of working in a factory/production/warehouse environment is essential.
