We're DC Flooring (UK) Ltd based in Basildon, Essex and have been trading for over 20 years. In this time, we've established ourselves as one of the leading flooring companies in the industry, specialising in industrial and commercial finishes - resins, cementitious finishes, our own cutting edge concrete polishing system, and all other related services.

We are seeking a Warehouse Operative with Electrical Engineering experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a background in equipment repair and maintenance, demonstrating proficiency with both hand and large power tools. This role requires a keen eye for detail, warehouse experience, and someone that has the skills to assess and repair both small and medium size vans - up to 3.5 ton.

Responsibilities

Perform equipment repair and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functionality. Assemble and disassemble equipment according to specifications. Utilise hand tools and large power tools safely and effectively in all repair processes. Interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues accurately. PAT test and Keep test records and service records for plant and tools. Operate forklift for goods in/out of warehouse as and when required. Assist in fixing and maintaining the fleet of company vans. When required, attend site to assess and fix faulty equipment. Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored correctly. Assist in the warehouse with stock checks and general maintenance. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance overall service delivery.

Skills

Proficient in equipment repair, with an understanding of electrical systems. Ability to solder components effectively for repairs or fabrication tasks. Experience in maintaining machinery and tools, ensuring they are in good working order. Competence in assembling various types of equipment based on technical drawings or schematics. Familiarity with both hand tools and large power tools, demonstrating safe usage practices. Able to PAT test. Vehicle repair knowledge - small and large vans A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must be able to drive and have a full-clean driving licence.
Working hours are 6am-3pm Monday - Friday (with flexibility to suit the business needs)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 30,000.00 per year
