Thornbridge Timber, part of the National Timber Group Scotland are looking to recruit a Driver/Yard Operative to join a busy team based in Anniesland.

The successful candidate will be a customer-focused team player, confident and enthusiastic with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Order picking and loading customers as well as our company vehicles. To give excellent customer service, ensuring that goods are delivered in a timely manner and undamaged. Manually place the appropriate stock items on pallets from pick slots and racks as required. Be a team player - assisting on goods inward, learning products, checking correct goods received and stored correctly to minimise damage/ loss. Assisting with customer sales and service - processing orders accurately and efficiently. Assisting in the assembly of timber components to order requirements, stacking / pulling products off shelves as well as carrying products to replenish throughout the warehouse. Checking goods inwards by the set procedures. Putting stock away into its correct bin location, rotating on a first in first out basis. Having a pro-active attitude to stock levels generally, advising management or specific individuals as appropriate of low or out of stock situations, or slow moving/over stocks. Adherence to all aspects of Health & Safety at all times; work in a safe and responsible manner so as not to endanger your colleagues, customers, stock, plant, machinery or buildings. Proactive approach where there are delivery gaps to assist the warehouse operations team in their duties.

Hours, Salary and Benefits:

Monday to Friday plus alternate Saturdays. Daytime working only.
