Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to materials handling, stocking, and shipping & receiving. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Manage inventory using a warehouse management system, ensuring accurate stock levels. Handle materials with care, including heavy lifting and proper storage techniques. Perform picking & packing duties for outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and quality. Load & unload goods from lorries, maintaining a safe working environment. Assist in shipping & receiving activities, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse space to promote safety and efficiency. Utilise mechanical knowledge for minor repairs or maintenance of warehouse equipment as needed.

Requirements

Previous warehouse experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of materials handling processes. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous. Ability to operate forklifts; certification is a plus but not mandatory as training may be provided. Experience in construction or mechanical roles will be beneficial for this position. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail for accurate picking & packing of orders. A proactive approach to safety and adherence to health regulations within the warehouse environment. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour
